Feeding vegans and everyone at events

Portland is a great city for the #vegpress crew as there are a lot of places to eat that cater to all variety of dietary needs.

Hiya! Welcome to VegPress the alternative dietary needs group that is most commonly seen around WordPress related events.
Our first event and group creation occurred at PressConf 2025 in Tempe, AZ. The goal was to help people with different dietary needs have a group to hang out with. We tend to visit purely vegan restaurants as that means our Kosher friends are covered. Generally those places also cater to gluten-free and various food allergy concerns.
This is a no-judgement and no-preaching group. That means we don’t care if you aren’t vegan, Kosher, or gluten-free, or whatever. We just want to hang out, have something nice to eat, and probably talk about WordPress at least a little bit.
